Skydiving plane crash kills 12 in Missouri

Twelve people were killed in a plane crash on Sunday near Butler, Missouri. The victims, who included 11 skydivers and a pilot, all perished in the accident.

The crash occurred shortly after the private plane departed from the Butler Memorial Airport around 11:30 a.m. Authorities report that the aircraft turned back for an unknown reason before crashing near Business 49 Highway.

The incident took place approximately 60 miles south of Kansas City. Bates County Sheriff Chad Anderson stated that some family members of the occupants witnessed the crash.
