science space programs

NASA’s Artemis II mission is set to conclude with a historic return to Earth. The Orion spacecraft has traveled farther from Earth than any previous mission.

The spacecraft will descend over 120,000 metres in 13 minutes, targeting a “splashdown” site off the California coast, near San Diego.

Splashdown is scheduled for Friday evening at 00:07 GMT, and NASA will provide a livestream of the event. This marks the completion of the Artemis II mission and the return of the crew.

Details regarding the mission and the Orion capsule’s splashdown are available as the spacecraft prepares for its homecoming.
