A shooting occurred Saturday afternoon at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in a busy shopping plaza in Twin Falls, southern Idaho. The attack left three people dead and seven others wounded. The restaurant had opened only a week earlier, on July 24, as part of the California-based company's recent expansion into Idaho.
Authorities confirmed that the shooter, a 24-year-old man, is among the dead after killing himself. One of the other victims killed in the attack was a restaurant worker. Police Chief Matthew Hicks described the event as a very chaotic scene, noting that hundreds of people were in the area when the shooting happened.
Police and the FBI are assisting in the investigation to identify the gunman and determine the motive for the attack. Investigators are working to determine what led the man to open fire at the fast-food establishment.
