Israeli forces shot and wounded at least one Palestinian and arrested at least three others on Friday in the occupied West Bank. The incidents occurred as troops closed entrances to the village of Tal, located near Nablus in the northern West Bank, to protect more than 100 Israeli settlers marching through the village.
The march was organized by Israeli settlers in memory of two Israelis who were killed last week during clashes in the town of Tell.
The operation follows a period of intensified violence in the area. Israeli troops have carried out near-daily raids and arrests in the village since last weekend, and soldiers and settlers have stormed occupied West Bank towns.
