Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Britain's former prince, has filed a legal action in the High Court in London to challenge the validity of search warrants used by Thames Valley Police. The 66-year-old is seeking a judicial review to quash the warrants that led to searches of his residences.
The legal challenge follows Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The arrest was part of an investigation into his links with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, specifically regarding allegations that he sent confidential government documents and shared sensitive information with Epstein.
A judicial spokesperson confirmed that a private hearing is scheduled for Thursday to determine whether the police acted lawfully. Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing.
