Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi rebels launched ballistic missiles and drones at residential neighborhoods and displacement camps in the city of Marib on Friday. These attacks resulted in the deaths of at least two civilians and eight members of government forces. Health Minister Qassem Bahaibah reported that 14 people were wounded, accusing the group of targeting civilian areas.
The Yemeni army has responded against Houthi forces on several fronts along the lines of contact, stating it will take necessary military measures against further targeting of its units. A Saudi spokesman further accused the Houthis of indiscriminately shelling civilian areas in violation of international humanitarian law.
