A diplomatic crisis has erupted between Ukraine and Israel following the arrival in Haifa of a Russian shadow fleet vessel carrying grain stolen from Russian-occupied territories in southern Ukraine. Kyiv has warned Israel of a brewing diplomatic and legal response if authorities permit the vessel to dock and unload.

President Zelenskyy publicly criticized Israel on Tuesday for considering the purchase of the stolen grain. He accused Israel of accepting another shipment and stated that Kyiv is preparing sanctions against the individuals and entities involved in the shipments.

Brussels has stated it is ready to sanction those involved in the illegal scheme. Meanwhile, this diplomatic spat unfolds as Ukrainian drones hit Russia's Tuapse oil refinery, causing a massive fire.
