The head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed. The council stated that the waterway will not open until the United States meets certain conditions and corrects its behavior.
In discussions regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran has vowed to block U.S. Navy ships from using the waterway.
The IRGC added that the international waterway has evolved from a trade route into a tool of power and war.
