Far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos detained by ICE in Louisiana

Milo Yiannopoulos, a 41-year-old far-right British political commentator and former editor of Breitbart News, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans international airport.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Yiannopoulos legally entered the United States in May 2019. However, federal authorities stated that he chose to overstay his welcome and remained in the country after his visa expired in violation of national laws.

The UK citizen, who has also served as an intern for Marjorie Taylor Greene and describes himself as an internet troll, is currently in ICE custody. Online records indicate he is being held in a detention center located approximately 200 miles from New Orleans.
