Five Indian Air Force personnel were killed on Saturday when an Antonov An-32 transport aircraft crashed during a routine training flight in the northeastern state of Assam.
The crash occurred near the Jorhat region, with the Indian Air Force confirming the incident in a statement posted on X. All five people on board were killed, and images from the site showed wreckage of the aircraft strewn across a field.
The air force extended its condolences to the families of those killed and stated it stood with them in their grief.
This incident follows a crash in March, when two Indian Air Force pilots were killed during a routine training mission in Assam involving a Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet.
