Quadruple Amputee Cornhole Champ Arrested for Murder

crime & law legal proceedings

Dayton James Webber, 27, a professional cornhole player and quadruple amputee, has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Bradrick Michael Wells, 27, of Waldorf, Maryland. Authorities allege Webber fatally shot Wells, a passenger in his car, during an argument.

Webber was arrested as a fugitive from justice in Albemarle County, Virginia, and Charles County is seeking his extradition. He faces charges of first-degree and second-degree murder. Following the shooting, Webber allegedly asked passengers in the back of the car for help moving the victim, but they refused and alerted police.

Police later discovered Wells’ body in a yard in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, approximately ten miles from the initial shooting in La Plata. Webber had fled the scene with the victim still in the vehicle. The American Cornhole League acknowledged the allegations but declined to comment, citing the ongoing legal proceedings.

Webber, who lost his limbs as an infant due to a blood infection, gained recognition as the first quadruple amputee to compete professionally in the American Cornhole League and previously shared his story of overcoming adversity.
