The World Food Programme has announced it is cutting food assistance in the occupied West Bank by half due to funding shortages. This reduction comes as escalating settler violence and Israeli military operations drive needs higher. Currently, assistance reaches only 200,000 people, and 76% of West Bank households have suffered significant income declines.
The agency has also warned that it may be forced to make further cuts in Gaza, where food insecurity remains at crisis levels for 1.5 million people supported by the organization.
