The Carolina Hurricanes won their second Stanley Cup championship on Sunday night, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 6 in Las Vegas. This victory marks the club's first title in 20 years, since the 2005-2006 season.
The Hurricanes utilized a suffocating defense to secure the win, with Taylor Hall and Jackson Blake each scoring their seventh goal of the playoffs and Nikolaj Ehlers adding an empty-net tally. Although the Golden Knights held a two-games-to-one lead in the series, Carolina won three straight games to claim the championship.
Rod Brind'Amour became just the fourth person to both captain and coach a franchise to a Stanley Cup.
