Spotify Technologies SA is introducing a new AI Personas label to identify AI-generated artist identities and songs. This label will appear on artist profiles and track listings on playlists as part of a crackdown on fake performers.
The platform will exclude music from AI personas from editorial, algorithmic, and personalized recommendations by default. Additionally, users can now flag songs generated with AI to ensure they are not recommended to them through the algorithm.
The move comes after users complained that they could not easily identify AI-generated content on the music streaming platform.
