Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was sworn in on Tuesday for a seventh term, extending his rule in the East African country into a fifth decade.
The 81-year-old has been in power since 1986 and has led the nation for 40 years. He won a January election amid reports of abductions and intimidation.
The president's new five-year term comes as Uganda gears up to become an oil producer.
