Tiger Woods pleaded not guilty Tuesday to misdemeanor DUI and property damage charges stemming from a Friday afternoon car crash where his SUV rolled over.
The golfer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a deputy reported observing signs of impairment at the crash scene. A search revealed pain pills in Woods’ pocket.
While a breathalyser test indicated no alcohol in his system, Woods refused to submit to a urinalysis test. He now faces charges for both DUI with property damage and refusal of a lawful test.
The plea was entered hours after a sheriff’s report detailed the observations made by the responding deputy regarding Woods’ condition following the incident.
