An anonymous bidder has paid $9,000,100 at a charity fundraiser for the opportunity to dine with billionaire investor Warren Buffett and basketball superstar Stephen Curry. Actress and entrepreneur Ayesha Curry will also join the lunch.
The event is scheduled for June 24 in Omaha, Nebraska, where Berkshire Hathaway is based. The winning bidder and their guests will be joined by Buffett and the Currys for the occasion.
To further the impact of the fundraiser, Buffett has pledged to match the winning sum. This ensures that both his and the Currys' favorite charities will benefit, including the GLIDE Foundation, a San Francisco homeless charity long supported by Buffett.
