France will summon the Russian ambassador to Paris in the coming days over an alleged cyberhacking and spying campaign carried out by Russia against several European countries, including France, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said on Monday.
France accused Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) of a series of cyberattacks targeting government ministries, rail operators, private companies, and a research institute working on sensitive subjects. These attacks were reportedly aimed at capturing information or sabotaging operations.
Russia has often been accused of carrying out acts of sabotage and cyberattacks across Europe, allegations that Moscow has repeatedly denied.
