crime & law music legal proceedings

Rapper Pooh Shiesty and eight others have been accused of robbery and kidnapping in Texas. The charges stem from an incident in January involving a contract dispute connected to Gucci Mane’s record label, 1017 Records.

Prosecutors allege three men were robbed at gunpoint and kidnapped. One of the victims is reportedly the owner of 1017 Records, identified only as RD. Another victim, identified as Mane, traveled to Dallas for contract negotiations.

Authorities say the victims were forced to sign documents releasing Pooh Shiesty from his recording contract. The U.S. Justice Department confirmed the arrests on Thursday, with the FBI filing a criminal complaint detailing the allegations.
