Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday resulted in multiple fatalities, including a journalist working for Al Jazeera.

Mohammed Wishah, a correspondent for Al Jazeera Mubasher, was killed when his car was targeted by an Israeli drone west of Gaza City. Health authorities confirmed the deaths of four individuals in the strikes.

Al Jazeera announced that Wishah “was martyred” following the attack. The network reported the vehicle he was traveling in was directly targeted.

According to Reporters Without Borders, over 220 journalists have been killed in Gaza by Israeli forces.
