Rotterdam Synagogue Fire Under Investigation, Four Arrested
Rotterdam police are investigating an arson attack on a synagogue early Friday morning. The fire, which began around 3:40 a.m., was quickly extinguished and caused no injuries. Authorities reported the blaze “went out on its own.” The incident is being treated as a deliberate act and follows similar attacks on Jewish institutions in Liege, Belgium, and Detroit, Michigan. Jewish communities have been on high alert for potential attacks since the start of the conflict in Iran. Four young men were arrested Friday in connection with the arson. Police are investigating the incident as a case of suspected antisemitic violence, the latest since the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
