Singaporean state-owned investor Temasek Holdings Pte reported a net portfolio value of S$518 billion ($401 billion) for the last financial year. The firm recorded a gain of S$49 billion and a 10.5% total shareholder return, driven by strong performance from Singapore-based listed companies and gains from key divestments. However, the net portfolio value took a 2 per cent hit due to the Middle East conflict.
The investor is ramping up its exposure to the Americas and artificial intelligence, which currently makes up around 6 per cent of its portfolio. Temasek views the rapid advancement of AI as a pivotal phase that will create vast opportunities.
As part of this strategic shift, Temasek is repositioning its China portfolio toward robotics, biotech, energy transition, and AI-related hardware and infrastructure.
