Amazon halts operations with cargo carrier 21 Air after fatal Miami crash

business

Amazon announced Sunday that it is suspending its partnership and operations with Miami-based cargo carrier 21 Air LLC. The e-commerce giant had used the carrier to operate aircraft for Amazon Air.

The decision follows a crash on September 6 involving Flight 7598. The 21 Air-operated jet overshot the runway at Miami International Airport and careened off the runway.

The aircraft hit several vehicles, killing five people on the ground.
