Snap Inc. has unveiled its first augmented reality glasses geared toward the broader public instead of developers. Introduced on Monday at the Augmented World Expo in Long Beach, California, the consumer-focused smart glasses line is called Specs.

Co-founder Evan Spiegel described the device as a leapfrog advancement and the computer of the future. The glasses are priced at $2,195.

Preorders for Specs have opened immediately with a $200 refundable deposit. The product is expected to ship this autumn in the United States, the United Kingdom, and France.
