Four Florida family members dead in Bahamas plane crash

A small private aircraft carrying four family members went missing on Monday while flying back home to Florida. The plane is believed to have crashed into waters off a Bahamian island, prompting an immediate search for the aircraft.

The flight had departed from Great Harbour Cay in the Bahamas. Those on board were two grandparents and their grandchildren.

Following a search conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard and authorities in the Bahamas, the bodies of the four family members were recovered. The aircraft crashed approximately 15 miles off the coast of the largest Bahamian island.
