Police Scotland has launched an investigation into time spent by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell at Balmoral, the king's private estate in the Scottish Highlands. Authorities are looking into visits where Epstein, a convicted sex offender, and his associate Maxwell were guests of the former prince.

The inquiries are reportedly linked to a 1999 visit to the royal retreat. Media reports indicate that the investigation is related to claims that women were trafficked to the estate.

Police Scotland stated that it has received information and that the investigation is currently at a very early stage. Officials confirmed that inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
