Ukraine launched a major drone assault on Moscow and the surrounding region on July 20, deploying more than 400 UAVs. Russian authorities stated that most of the drones were intercepted, although the attack set buildings ablaze and hit an oil storage facility and logistics plants.
The strikes resulted in at least 10 people being wounded, including a child. Additionally, Chinese state media reported that three Chinese nationals were among those injured during the overnight attack.
This blitz occurred hours after Russia bombarded Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities with ballistic missiles. The event is part of a relentless cycle of tit-for-tat strikes and escalating exchanges between the two nations. Over the preceding weekend, Ukraine hit warehouses outside of Moscow on Saturday, while Russia targeted Kyiv on Sunday.
