Autopsy: Teen in D4vd murder case died of multiple penetrating injuries

crime & law legal proceedings

D4vd, a 21-year-old musician, has been charged with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The teenager, who was from a quiet southern California town, had become intertwined with the singer before she was killed.

The dismembered body of Hernandez was discovered last September in the trunk of an apparently abandoned car belonging to the musician. According to an autopsy report released Wednesday from the Los Angeles county medical examiner’s office, Hernandez died from multiple penetrating injuries to her torso and upper body. Her death was officially ruled a homicide.

The Los Angeles police had sought to keep the autopsy findings secret for months while they investigated the singer. Lawyers for D4vd are now pushing for prosecutors to quickly and publicly present the evidence they have against him in the killing of the 14-year-old girl.
