At Google I/O 2026 on Tuesday, Google announced a new partnership with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to produce AI-powered audio glasses. Developed in collaboration with Samsung and powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, the devices were first showcased at the company's annual developers conference.

The audio glasses will be equipped with a microphone, camera, and small speaker. These features allow users to make calls, listen to music, and take photos. Users can also chat with the Gemini AI assistant and issue verbal commands to navigate Google's ecosystem of apps and services.

Scheduled to go on sale this autumn, the glasses will allow Google's artificial intelligence to interact directly with the user. The devices will be compatible with both Android and Apple phones.
