Dublin-Rome Airbus flight diverted to French military base over bomb threat

An Airbus A320 passenger plane flying from Dublin to Rome was diverted on Thursday to the Evreux airbase in France following a bomb threat. The aircraft made an emergency landing at the air force base, located west of Paris, after being escorted by military aircraft.

The office of French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu issued a statement confirming that the situation is being monitored.

This event is the latest in a series of bomb threats targeting flights across Europe. It follows an incident on Tuesday, November 3, when approximately 10 European flights were targeted, as well as earlier threats this week directed at seven flights and a cruise.
