Kanye West Banned From UK Amid Festival Cancellation

Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, will not perform at London’s Wireless Festival. The UK government has barred the rapper from entering the country due to his history of antisemitism.

Ye responded to criticism regarding his booking, offering to “meet and listen” to members of the UK’s Jewish community. He stated his intention was “to come to London and present a show of change” through his music.

Despite calls for cancellation following past antisemitic remarks – including admiration for Adolf Hitler, a song titled “Heil Hitler,” and advertising a swastika T-shirt – festival organizers initially extended “forgiveness” and maintained his performance slot. However, the 2026 edition of the Wireless Festival has now been axed.

The government affirmed that Ye should “absolutely not” perform at the festival, ultimately leading to the decision to deny him entry.
