More than 1,900 people have been killed and at least 20,000 injured in Iran since the start of attacks, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, citing figures from the Iranian Red Crescent. These findings represent the most comprehensive estimates of civilian casualties to date in the month-long conflict.

Recent strikes have targeted cities in the north and north-west of Iran. An Israeli missile attack in Tel Aviv resulted in one death, while a pre-dawn strike in southern Tehran hit a residential building, killing at least five children. Six people were also killed in Qom, contributing to Iran’s grim milestone of nearly 2,000 war dead.

A senior official with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that children over 12 are now permitted to join armed patrols and checkpoints.
