Trump secretly flew from Turkey due to Iran assassination threat: reports

defense & military political figures

President Donald Trump departed on a secret military flight from Turkey last month following an Iranian assassination threat. Although the White House stated he was flying aboard Air Force One, the president was actually transported via a smaller aircraft.

The operation took place in Ankara during a Nato summit with world leaders. Trump first boarded the legacy Air Force One jumbo jet in view of television cameras. Minutes later, he was secretly shuttled to a smaller plane using an airport catering truck typically used for loading meals and other supplies preflight.

After being whisked away from the original jet, the president was flown to the Mildenhall air base in the UK on the smaller aircraft.
