On the second day of the match, Australia were bowled out for 210 before lunch, taking a 146-run lead. Bangladesh struggled in their second innings, falling to 39 for three by lunch and 95 for eight by tea, requiring 51 more runs to make the hosts bat again.
Mitchell Starc dominated the match, taking 10 wickets overall, including four in the final innings. Spinner Nathan Lyon contributed three wickets to propel the hosts to victory, as Bangladesh were bowled out for 64 and 95.
