Meta launched paid subscription plans for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp on Wednesday. This move marks a major push by the tech giant to diversify its revenue streams and reduce its long-standing reliance on advertising.
The subscriptions are being rolled out worldwide under the broader Meta One brand, which also includes new creator and business-focused offerings. Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus will be priced at $3.99 per month, while WhatsApp Plus will cost $2.99 per month.
Additionally, Meta confirmed it will begin testing two subscription plans for its AI offerings. These Meta AI subscriptions will initially roll out in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia.
