Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick claimed a drama-filled, single-stroke victory at the Zurich Classic in Avondale, Louisiana. The English brothers combined for a 1-under 71 in alternate shot play on Sunday to secure the win, a result that ushers the younger Alex Fitzpatrick onto the PGA Tour through 2028.

The brothers' path to victory included a tournament record round of 57 and a four-shot lead through 54 holes. While they were one shot off the lead at one point and lost a four-stroke lead on the back nine during the final round, they managed to stay ahead of teams tied at 30-under, including Alex Smalley and Hayden Springer, as well as Kristoffer Reitan and Kris Ventura.

The win was sealed on the par-5 18th hole when Matt Fitzpatrick, the third-ranked player in the world, stuck a bunker shot within a foot of the hole. Alex then made the putt to secure the title. This marks the third victory for Matt this spring, following two other wins, including one last weekend at Harbour Town.
