Iranian missile strikes on two southern Israeli towns injured over 100 people Saturday, marking one of the worst attacks of the war on Israeli soil. Air defence systems reportedly failed to intercept the projectiles, resulting in direct hits to residential areas.

The towns experienced widespread damage overnight, with two missiles landing hours apart near a heavily guarded nuclear site in the Negev Desert. Footage revealed significant destruction, including damage to an apartment building and craters in the ground.

First responders reported 84 injuries in the city of Arad. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the city following the attacks.

The number of casualties was announced Sunday as assessments of the damage continued.
