TSA Pay Resolves Airport Bottlenecks, Shutdown Continues

Airport wait times are improving nationwide after Transportation Security Administration officers began receiving backpay. The president recently signed an order to ensure TSA officers were compensated.

Houston and Atlanta airports have already seen a reduction in wait times following the distribution of missed paychecks. The Transportation Safety Administration confirmed most officers received at least two full paychecks retroactively on Monday.

While significant improvements have been made, some airports continue to experience delays. JFK and Houston report shorter lines, but LaGuardia Airport is still facing wait times of up to two hours.

The Department of Homeland Security stated the retroactive paychecks were distributed to the majority of TSA officers on Monday.
