Prince Harry and Meghan to move back to the UK

Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are planning to move back to the United Kingdom this month, six years after stepping down from their royal duties and relocating to the United States. Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the couple and their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, will leave southern California to return to Britain.

The couple is expected to settle in a non-royal residence located outside of London. Their children have reportedly already been enrolled in a British school to start in September.

Despite their return, the prince and his wife will remain non-working royals. This follows their January 2020 decision to step away from senior royal roles as they worked to become financially independent from the royal family. Relations between the couple and King Charles and the rest of the royal family have long been strained.
