Havana received a shipment of humanitarian aid Tuesday from the Nuestra America Convoy, an international effort aimed at bypassing U.S. sanctions impacting the island.
The first ship of an international flotilla arrived carrying essential supplies including solar panels, bicycles, food, and medicine. Cuba is currently facing deepening economic and energy crises.
The aid delivery is part of a larger caravan, ‘Our America Convoy to Cuba,’ involving over 650 participants from 33 countries.
Activists describe the shipment as a symbolic “gesture of solidarity” intended to highlight the impact of the U.S. energy blockade on Cuba.
