ICE officer in fatal Maine shooting has history of violent behavior

crime & law

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed a Colombian man in Maine this week. The officer, David Brouillette, is an Army veteran.

According to several close relatives, Brouillette has struggled with serious mental health issues since early childhood. His family also stated that he has a record of violent behavior.

Relatives believe that because of these issues, Brouillette should have never been issued a badge and firearm to patrol American streets.

This incident occurs as at least 10 people have died in encounters with immigration agents since Trump launched his crackdown.
