A new trial concerning the death of Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona is set to begin Tuesday. Seven members of his medical team face charges of negligent homicide.
This marks the second attempt to determine responsibility for Maradona’s death in November 2020. A previous trial collapsed and resulted in a mistrial.
The initial case faltered after a judge permitted cameras inside the courtroom. The current trial will again focus on whether the medical team provided adequate care.
