Russia, Ukraine, and the United States will hold trilateral peace talks in Abu Dhabi from November 10-11 to end Moscow's nearly five-year-long war. The Kremlin confirmed the meetings on Tuesday.

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to represent the United States as lead negotiators. US officials are seeking a breakthrough in the long-running conflict before winter sets in.

The envoy will also meet with NATO and European allies to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine. Additionally, Russia has signaled a possible summit between Trump, Putin, and Xi, which has raised questions over Kyiv's role in negotiations.

Despite the upcoming talks, the involved countries remain far apart regarding the terms of any possible peace deal.
