FIFA Chief Operating Officer Kevin Lamour has stated that a proposed stake sale within the organization should not go ahead.
Lamour claimed that he and other staff members were deceived by President Gianni Infantino regarding the plan to sell stakes in a proposed commercial unit to investors. The senior executive noted a lack of openness in the planning of the World Cup sell-off over recent months.
Lamour further wrote that staff deserve better than contempt and intimidation following the deception surrounding the deal.
