Gunfire hit the U.S. Consulate in downtown Toronto early Monday morning. Police reported that at least one shot was fired near the diplomatic compound, though no injuries were reported.
Officers heard a firearm being discharged in the area and observed a white sedan fleeing the scene. The suspect escaped following a car chase, and no suspects have been identified in connection to the shooting.
This incident marks the second shooting near the diplomatic post in just over four months. Police stated it is currently too early to determine if this episode is linked to a previous shooting that targeted the post in March.
