Sir Alex Ferguson was taken to the hospital after feeling unwell at Old Trafford on Sunday, ahead of Manchester United's Premier League match against Liverpool. The 84-year-old former manager was present at the stadium for the match but left before kickoff.
Reports indicate that Ferguson remained conscious and underwent precautionary checks, with sources stating that the situation was not an emergency. A Manchester United spokesperson said the club was unable to comment on Ferguson's status.
Ferguson is a regular attendee at United's home games and has a row of seats in the directors' box. During his tenure from 1986 until his retirement in 2013, he won 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies. Over his time at the club, he won 28 major titles, with other reports stating he hoisted a total of 38 trophies.
This follows a previous health incident in 2018, when Ferguson suffered a brain hemorrhage and underwent emergency surgery before making a recovery.
