Croatian Filip Hrgovic claimed the vacant IBF world heavyweight title on Saturday at London's O2 Arena. In a thrilling and extraordinary contest, Hrgovic secured the victory by stopping British prodigy Moses Itauma.
Hrgovic produced a courageous performance to achieve a stunning comeback, eventually stopping Itauma in the ninth round. The victory handed the 21-year-old Briton his first professional loss, as Itauma appeared to punch himself out during the bout.
With this technical knockout victory, Hrgovic becomes the first Croatian to be crowned a world heavyweight boxing champion.
