Carly Simon, the singer-songwriter known for 1970s hits such as You're So Vain and Nobody Does It Better, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. The 83-year-old singer says she is finally ready to speak out about why she has gone quiet in recent years.
In addition to her Parkinson's diagnosis, Simon has been battling basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. She shared that she underwent surgery to treat the cancer on her face, which left her feeling self-conscious about being seen in public.
Despite these health challenges and the treatments she has received, Simon vows to keep singing.
