NASCAR legend Kyle Busch has died at the age of 41. His family announced on Saturday that the racing veteran passed away on Thursday, a sudden loss that has shocked racing fans.
According to a statement released by his family, Busch died after severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis. This resulted in rapid and overwhelming associated complications that led to his death.
Busch had been suffering from a serious cough while competing earlier this month. He passed out in a Chevrolet simulator on Wednesday, one day prior to his passing.
A two-time NASCAR champion, Busch won more races in NASCAR's top three series than anyone in history.
