New Jersey's public rail system announced on May 13 that it is dropping ticket prices for World Cup matches at MetLife Stadium. Round-trip train tickets have been reduced to $98 from an original price of $150.

State officials also announced that bus fares have been cut following a backlash from fans. Bus tickets will now cost $20 instead of the initially planned $80.

The price reductions come as concerns over attendance costs grow. President Donald Trump has also stated that the cost to attend this year's World Cup is too high.
